Yeah, I'd call that a bunch. Although I usually buy it at the farmer's market when it's local and in season, and there they sell it loose and just weigh it.
My recipe for cranberry sauce is very similar to yours, except I also put in the zest of one orange, and the orange itself (sectioned, each section cut into quarters). And I use Cortland apples because I like the tartness and they don't cook down so much.
